How We Started
Hello everyone, my name is Patrick, and the founder of Sip Happens. I wanted to take time and introduce myself. I have lived in the northern Virginia area for over 10 years and one thing stands true in that time, the bar has always delivered some of the best and most
memorable moments that I can recall. Whether it be a causal meet up with friends and family, a celebration for someone special, or a much needed drink after a hellish work week, the bar provides. Working in the restaurant industry for years myself, I began imagining a way of bringing those same epic nights and sharing them with as many people as possible. From that dream, Sip Happens was born, as a way of showing my appreciation for good times with family and friends, and of course a great drink to go with it. Virginia's ABC laws prohibit us from purchasing alcohol directly, so you will choose and purchase the alcohol. It is actually cheaper buying the alcohol directly so you’ve already begun saving money!
Our staff will guide you on what to buy and how much for your event. Once everything is selected, we will provide the delivery of the alcohol and take care of everything else to include: mixers, drinkware, bar appliances and everything in between.
Don’t sweat though, we will be by your side ensuring all necessary ABC banquet permits are filed to maintain compliance. From there, the rest is up to you to choose between our available packages.
